A highlight of our time in the vineyard & winery is welcoming wine journalists to share our story. It was no hard day in the office when we welcomed BBC UK Journalist Joe Wadsack to Vinea Marson on a cold winter's day. Joe's summary of a whirlwind trip around Victoria's 21 wine regions is currently featured as a 3-part epic in The Buyer. We were delighted to hear his thoughts on our wines in Part 1 - Discovering Victoria: Australia's most exciting wine region. On Heathcote, Joe writes: 'One exciting evolution for the region is the exploration of Italian varieties....
We recently hosted newly appointed taster for Australia for jamessuckling.com, Ryan Montgomery to the vineyard for a tour & tasting. Turns out Ryan's roots are much closer to home than his current California base, having grown up in Bendigo & attended school with my sisters and I! 'Although Heathcote is a shiraz-focused region,...

So when the opportunity arose to participate in a few of Young Gun of Wine's Italian varietal tastings, I obviously couldn't say no! Tasting 55 Australian iterations of Sangiovese should never be passed up, so too to hear the thoughts of the sommeliers, buyers & fellow winemakers who made up the panel. These are important tastings to see where Australia is at, with a diversity...
Vinea Marson & the Marson family acknowledge that we live, grow & make our wines on Taungurung Land. We pay our respects to leaders and Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Taungurung Peoples. From the greenstone quarries on the Mount Camel Range to the alpine country of Porepunkah, we express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
