2024 Barbera

A broody expression of Barbera from a picture-perfect vintage here in Heathcote, the 2024 vintage release delights in the variety's naturally high acidity complemented by florals and bright purple fruits. 

TASTING NOTES

On the nose, the portion of carbonic maceration provides delightful lift, florals and jube-y fruit of intense wild raspberries and brambly undergrowth. Barbera’s crisp typicity is immediately apparent on the bright, high-acid palate accompanied by layers of enticing fruit of the blue and purple spectrum, followed by a lick of tannin and a generous finish. 

CELLARING

Barbera is best enjoyed young for 2-5 years after release.

A part of a our annual summer release -  we love Barbera's versatility - enjoy it chilled in warmer weather or at room temperature in the cooler months. Enjoy with gnocchi pomodoro or a rustic chicken cacciatore - as it pairs well with tomato-based dishes.
