A beautiful expression of the aromatic varietal indigenous to north-eastern Italy, the Picolit is a lighter-style dessert wine. Largely unknown as a variety outside of Italy, & scarcely planted in Australia, Picolit is distinguished by its biennial bearing & comes from the Furlan dialect pecolut – meaning small stalks.

TASTING NOTES
A delicious dessert wine, a bouquet of fresh field flowers & honey character is evident on the nose. Richer notes of honey & toasted almonds abound on the palate, followed by a hint of phenolics.

FOOD MATCHING 
With 40 grams of sugar per litre, this dessert wine pairs beautifully with a gorgonzola-laden cheese platter, poached pears or mille feuille.
