2019 Picolit

Sitting unctuous and rich in the glass with its golden hue, the third release of our dessert wine offers a typically varietal nose, with ripe pear and struck match aromas accompanied by smoky oak. With time in the glass a certain delicacy reveals itself with lifted floral notes of orange blossom. 

 On the palate the richness of a higher residual sugar content (40 grams per litre compared with the 30 of the previous vintage) is accompanied by the line of acid that typifies the Alpine Valleys’ fruit, with flavours of bright orange sherbet and vanilla spice leading to a dry, tannin finish. 

FOOD MATCH

With 40 grams of sugar per litre, this dessert wine pairs beautifully with a gorgonzola-laden cheese platter, poached pears or mille feuille.
